WILDLIFE :: FULL ILLUSTRATION

Most illustrations "start life" as a quick sketch.

Fine details and a course stock gave this illustration a toothy feel. This is a very similar style to
that of my great grandfather, who was an editorial cartoonist for the Wellsville Paper in the early 1900's -

Seems like such a long time ago, this was done over three years ago. Thought I would revisit the old days of hand illustration. Drawn from photo references, in pen and ink, then watercolor and colored pencil and then airbrush for color highlights.

Blending a unique talent of design and illustration. With a BFA in design and illustration from Kent State University many years ago, I have always incorporated and leaned heavily on the illustration side of design. As you can see from the samples throughout this site, many of my pieces have an illustrative flair. Styles ranging from a very graphic, heavy line style to softer and lighter samples, I have been able to effectively communicate through vibrant colors, bold graphics. Experienced in creating graphics, t-shirts, editorial illustrations, line art for educational purposes and technical cut-away drawings.
